THE HAPPY HOUR #643 THE SACREDNESS OF SECULAR WORK WITH JORDAN RAYNOR

WHAT YOU WILL HEAR:

You wake up everyday, feed the kids, change diapers, go to work, come home, fix dinner, go to bed, and wake up the next morning just to do it all over again. Have you ever asked yourself what all of this is about? Does any of the work you put your hands to matter to God or for eternal purposes? Today on the show we have Jordan Raynor to answer that very question!

Jordan Raynor is a leading voice of the faith and work movement. Through his bestselling books, podcast, and devotionals, Jordan has helped millions of Christians in every country on earth connect the gospel to their work. In addition to his writing, Jordan serves as the Executive Chairman of Threshold 360, a venture-backed tech startup which Jordan previously ran as CEO following a string of successful ventures of his own. He lives in beautiful Tampa, Florida where his family has been for 7 generations.

Jordan and I have a conversation around his newest book, The Sacredness of Secular Work. Jordan defines these terms and gives us warnings of traps we can tend to fall into when we’re thinking our work doesn’t matter. Jordan gives us a resounding yes, that what we’re doing today does matter for eternity, even if it feels mundane.
