THE HAPPY HOUR #446: MOROLAKE AKINOSUN ON LIFE AS AN OLYMPIC ATHLETE AND OVERCOMING OBSTACLES

WHAT YOU WILL HEAR:

“I love track and field and when it’s time for me to walk away, I have so much more in life that I can do. But I am not done yet.”

This is what it looks like to trust in God’s timing! Morolake Akinosun is a professional track and field athlete, and also a Rio 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist. Earlier this year on The Jamie Ivey Show, I had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Morolake about the Olympics, her professional training, and the 2018 achilles tendon injury that almost ended her career. She dives into the healing and recovery process and how she not only overcame the obstacle but finished 10th in the world at a 2019 competition. Morolake is an exceptional woman who gives her all into everything she does. I can’t wait to see what her future holds!
