We’re switching things up a little bit today on The Happy Hour. My husband and best friend, Aaron, is guest hosting and interviewing ME. My very first book, If You Only Knew, released yesterday and I am feeling every possible emotion about the whole thing. On today’s show, we talk about the book writing process and my heart behind the message of the book. Aaron also asks me about the most vulnerable chapter in the book, where I share a recent struggle. I’ll be the first and last to say vulnerability is hardly ever easy, but always worth it.

Guys, I really can’t believe this book is finally out into the world. I cannot thank you enough for your support and you cheering me on. This has been such a labor, and such a joy, and such a rollercoaster and you guys have been amazing through it all. I am so so grateful. And if you haven’t already, I would love for you to pick up a copy of the book today for you and a friend. You can do that right now right here!

{You can listen to the show HERE. And of course, I would love if you would share with your friends. Just use the FB & Twitter links at the end of this post!}

    Jamie,
    I loved this interview with you and your husband. Thank you for your openness in sharing your struggles and making way for others, even though it was hard! You and your husband are just so cute and I love your support of one another! I know God is going to work through your story.

    I am so excited to read your book. I just found your podcast about a week ago thanks to a Lifeway email and I’m just loving every minute. I’m playing catch up and started at #1 (after listening to Candice Cameron Bure). Thank you so much for creating your podcast! My co-workers think I’m nuts because I’m constantly laughing out loud and they can’t figure out why!!

    I was recently pointed to you and your podcast by my son, a Pine Cove resident, who met you and your husband a few weeks ago 🙂 I have been binge-listening from latest to most current, but listened to this one on my Northern VA commute today. I really enjoy your guests, and I DO feel like I’m a fly on the wall listening to a private conversation. Thanks for the space you’re providing for women to be transparent, share experiences and how God has worked in their lives (and yours). This empty-nester mama has been inspired and challenged. Keep up the great work.

    Mwah! I listened this book on christianaudio and loved it! Just to say that.

Hi friend, my name is Jamie and I'm glad you are here. I'm the host of the weekly podcast, The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey, as well as the author of a book releasing in January 2018. I used to write here all the time, and then life happened.
